DESCRIPTION:This course is a prerequisite for students who take any other sewing class. In this course you will become familiar with a Sewing Machine and how to use one. You will learn the skills that you need to take the kids/adult classes offered\, including winding the bobbin\, using guides\, zig zag and other fancy stitches and also troubleshoot when things do not work as expected. We will supply everything you need for this class\, including the sewing machine.

SUMMARY:Make a SillySaurus (2 Classes-July 5th and 19th)
DESCRIPTION:This is a 2 part class where you will be completing this super silly dinosaur toy.  This class is best suited for a confident (not new) beginner/intermediate sewist. It is open to kids 8 and older\, and adult kids!  You will have the naming rights to your new friend\, and he will receive his own embroidered collar with his name!  Just bring 3/4 yard of quilters cotton fabric. (small prints or solid works best) Everything else is provided.   This project involves following a pattern\, marking a pattern\, machine and hand sewing.

SUMMARY:Beginner Summer Sew for Kids (4 Weeks)
DESCRIPTION:4 consecutive Friday mornings. July 7\, 14\, 21 and 28 @10:00 am Our Beginner Summer Sew for Kids a great way to get your kid (ages 8+) learning sewing in a creative environment where they will learn all the basics as well as be challenged in problem solving. Our curriculum for the class includes fun to make and easy to be proud of projects to take home. We supply everything for the first session and will send home a (very minimal) supply list for the remaining classes. All students are required to take our one-time prerequisite class\, Introduction to Sewing\, before the session they are registered for begins.  If your child already knows how to sew\, or has taken a previous class at the Studio\, please call 636-317-1117. Please make sure your child is able to attend all dates listed above before registering. Session will not be prorated for missed classes.
