In this class\, we’ll work step-by-step to create a beautiful and functional Kiss Sewing Box while learning techniques you can carry into future specialty sewing projects.  Your class materials include: The Kiss Sewing Box pattern\n\nAll required hardware\n\nAll necessary interfacings\n\nTwo coordinating fat quarters\n\nGlue\, thread and everything else you need to complete the projectYou’re welcome to choose two coordinating fat quarters from our stash\, or bring two of your own if you have a combination you love. Bring your own sewing machine if you prefer working on a familiar machine or simply use one of the sewing machines provided for you in class. (Note:  Some hand sewing is required for this project.) Skill Level: IntermediateDifficulty: Not super hard\, but challenging and fun If you enjoy projects that stretch your sewing skills and result in something truly special\, the Kiss Sewing Box is a great next challenge!

SUMMARY:Beginner Sewing 101
DESCRIPTION:4 consecutive Friday morning classes at 10 AM on October 2nd\, 9th\, 16th and 23rd. This class is perfect for a beginner who wishes to learn the basic skills needed for sewing. We will start with all of the information in “Introduction to Sewing” so no prerequisite class is required. We will take the mystery out of the sewing machine\, needles\, fabric types and selection. You will make a canvas tote bag in this course. Space is limited to 4 participants so that each student gets the personal attention they need get the most out of this class. Fabric requirement is 1/2 yard of canvas for exterior of bag and 1 yard of coordinating canvas for the interior and handle which you will not need to have for the first class. We will provide everything else including the sewing machine.
