SUMMARY:How to Stuff a Turkey (After School Activity)
DESCRIPTION:This project is best suited for students that are aged 8 and up.  This is more of a fun activity using a sewing machine\, rather than a class.  We will start with the machines already set up and practice stitching a few lines to get the feel of the machine before starting the project. Parents\, please stay and assist your child if they have no prior sewing experience.  We will supply everything you will need for this project.  There is no prerequisite required. *Other courses are available that offer instruction on setting up the machine (bobbin winding\, threading the machine and troubleshooting)

SUMMARY:Intermediate Quilting
DESCRIPTION:3 Thursday Evenings in November (Not Consecutive) November 2nd \,9th and 30th This class is best suited for an intermediate sewist\, someone who has taken our Introduction to Quilting class\, or has made quilts and wants to improve their quilt making skills.  The Log Cabin block is a very versatile block that can be arranged in so many different variations.  The possibilities are endless!  This class is led by Theresa\, a very accomplished quilter and instructor. November 2- 5-7 pm:   You need not bring anything to this class. You will receive guidance on fabric selection during this session.  This pattern is pre-cut friendly!\n\nNovember 9-5-8 pm: You will supply your fabric and thread for this session as we will learn cutting techniques and begin to sew. You can bring your machine or use ours. Some of the sewing you will complete at home.\n\nNovember 30-5-8 pm: Learn about borders\, bindings and finishing your quilt.  Your quilt top will not be quilted in class\, but we may be able to assist you if necessary.

DESCRIPTION:This course is a prerequisite for students who take any other sewing class. In this course you will become familiar with a Sewing Machine and how to use one. You will learn the skills that you need to take the kids/adult classes offered\, including winding the bobbin\, using guides\, zig zag and other fancy stitches and also troubleshoot when things do not work as expected. We will supply everything you need for this class\, including the sewing machine.

DESCRIPTION:3 consecutive Tuesday mornings starting November 14 This class is best suited for a confident beginner sewist that would like to learn how to make quilts. The Twin Star 3-yard quilt is very beginner friendly and uses a variety of techniques that will help you start your quilting journey. This class is led by Theresa\, a very accomplished quilter and instructor. November 14-10:00 am-12:00 pm:  You need not bring anything to this class. You will receive guidance on fabric selection during this session.\n\nNovember 21-10:00 am-1:00 pm:  You will supply your fabric and thread for this session as we will learn cutting techniques and begin to sew. You can bring your machine or use ours. Some of the sewing you will complete at home\, or you may sew in the Studio this week using our machines on a day that there are not scheduled classes if you do not own a machine.\n\nNovember 28-10:00am-1:00 pm: Learn about borders\, bindings and finishing your quilt.
