DESCRIPTION:5 Consecutive Wednesday mornings-June 11\, 18\, 25 July 2 and 9 @ 10 am Our Summer Sew for Kids a great way to get your kid (ages 8+) learning sewing in a creative environment where they will learn all the basics as well as be challenged in problem solving. Our curriculum for the class includes fun to make and easy to be proud of projects to take home. We supply everything for the first session and will send home a (very minimal) supply list for the remaining classes. We have added our Introduction to Sewing as a part of this session so it will be no longer be a prerequisite to attend the classes. Please make sure your child is able to attend all dates listed above before registering. Session will not be prorated for missed classes.

DESCRIPTION:2 Consecutive Wednesday Evenings June 18 and 25 June 18 5-7 PM You need not bring anything to this class. You will receive guidance on fabric selection during this session. Your pattern will be provided. June 25 5-8 PM You will supply your fabric and thread for this session as we will learn cutting techniques\, learn about borders\, bindings and finishing your quilt. You will get your pieces all cut and start to sew your quilt top. You can bring your machine or use ours. You will leave with the confidence to finish the rest of the quilt top at home\, or you may sew in the Studio this week using our machines on a day that there are not scheduled classes if you do not own a machine.

SUMMARY:Beginner Sewing 101
DESCRIPTION:4 consecutive Thursday morning classes are at 10 am on June 26\, July 3\, 10 and 17. This class is perfect for a beginner who wishes to learn the basic skills needed for sewing. We will start with all of the information in “Introduction to Sewing” so no prerequisite class is required. We will take the mystery out of the sewing machine\, needles\, fabric types and selection. You will learn how to measure yourself and you will make a pair of flannel pajama pants in this course. Space is limited to 4 participants so that each student gets the personal attention they need get the most out of this class. Fabric requirement is 3 yards of flannel fabric which you will not need to have for the first class. We will provide everything else including the sewing machine.
